Hilton Worldwide, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hotel Events Strategist to oversee the work of our Sales Coordinators and Groups Coordinator in Tulum, Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Senior Hotel Events Strategist will be responsible for maximizing sales results for hotel groups and conventions, supervising the work of the Sales Coordinators, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the Sales Coordinators team to deliver exceptional service to customers and achieve financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to ensure the success of large groups and events, and negotiate contracts to maximize revenue.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales and revenue growth.
  • Coordinate the 'function meeting' to share vital information about upcoming groups and events.
  • Facilitate weekly communication meetings with the coordinators to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date on hotel facilities, competitors, and industry trends to promote the hotel's offerings.
  • Organize site visits and respond to client requests in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and hotel staff to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Sales Managers and Revenue Management team to ensure seamless sales processes.
  • Update daily sales activities in the hotel systems to maintain accurate records.
  • Analyze commission reports for groups, events, and Food and Beverage to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in special activities, such as welcome dinners and group events, to enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure prompt responses to client inquiries and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and stay informed about their needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, with a second language desirable.
  • Proven experience in sales and events management, preferably in a hotel setting, with leadership and team supervision roles.
  • Critical analysis skills to evaluate sales data and make strategic decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
