The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing government affairs strategies to support Corning's business objectives in Mexico. This will involve working closely with our global government affairs team, business units, and government and non-government organizations to engage on key legislative and regulatory priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the Mexican government structure, legislative, regulatory, and political processes. They will also have a proven track record of developing and executing effective government affairs strategies, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
The Director, Government Affairs, Mexico will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the political, legislative, and regulatory environment in Mexico and identifying emerging issues and challenges that may impact Corning's profitability and competitive position
- Developing and implementing government affairs strategies to support Corning's business objectives in Mexico
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders
- Providing intelligence and insights on legislative and regulatory policy developments
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience in government relations, preferably in a multinational company. They will also be bilingual and fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
