Job Summary

EcoVadis is seeking a highly skilled Billing & Collection Associate to join our Finance team in Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for full-cycle multi-currency accounts receivable, including billing, billing modifications, processing incoming payments, collections, and reconciling customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research disputed accounts to determine the cause and validity of delinquencies.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve and/or identify significant collection and billing issues and escalate accordingly.
  • Process and reconcile payments as required.
  • Obtain and share customer feedback with colleagues and other departments to improve products and services.
  • Attend workshops and meetings as necessary.
  • Respect client confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and debt collection queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist with various internal projects based on the organization's needs.
  • Participate in new pilot projects and work towards proper knowledge transition to the team.
  • Act as a mentor and trainer to junior team members.
  • Guide junior team members to reduce AR aging and optimize collections.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop processes to improve productivity and quality of the team.
  • Liaise with international colleagues from all departments regularly to assist and add value to the EcoVadis global mission.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish and English is a must. Additional languages will be a plus.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working in billing and collection is required.
  • Degree in a Business, Management, or Finance-related discipline is preferred, but applicants with other backgrounds will be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and telephone).
  • Good understanding of accounting principles.
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Office tools.
