We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Software Engineering Director to lead our software engineering teams and drive the development of game-changing technologies. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the cloud infrastructure of our critical platform and the underlying ecosystem of services.
About the Role:
- Lead and manage multiple teams of software engineers and build a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team, helping them to grow and succeed in their careers.
- Work with product leaders to define the strategy, roadmap, and destination architecture for our software engineering teams.
- Manage a portfolio of diverse technology platforms and projects to build scalable applications that meet the needs of our customers.
- Continuously improve software engineering practices and ensure that our teams are using the latest technologies and methodologies.
- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
- Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Bring a passion for staying on top of tech trends and experimenting with new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
Requirements:
- Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 8 years experience in software development
- At least 7 years experience in people management
- At least 5 years of experience with AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 13+ years of experience in software development
- 8+ years of experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP)
- 8+ years of experience in Agile practices
- 7+ years of experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
