Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team at Maquiladora En Ciudad Juarez. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing engineering function to ensure all assigned duties are completed in a timely, quality-minded, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the Manufacturing Engineering function to ensure all assigned duties are completed in a timely, quality-minded, and cost-effective manner.
  • Assure documentation regarding internal procedures for component production are available, current, and accurate.
  • Establish and maintain time standards for all significant direct and indirect labor operations.
  • Develop manufacturing processes that optimize the most efficient production methods and workplace layout utilizing lean principles and methodologies.
  • Coordinate corrective actions through end-of-run meetings and production notes driving suggestions for design changes to improve manufacturability and process innovation.
  • Responsible for factory capacity at a machine level and coordinates with operations and planning to ensure optimum capacity utilization and efficiency.
  • Work with other departments to assure schedules and capacities are adequate to support marketing requirements.
  • Research and develop utilization of innovative technology to improve product efficient manufacturability and cost.
  • Responsible for injection molding processes and standards, improving molding quality using mold pressure and computer control technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of six to eight years of experience in a manufacturing environment plus minimum two years supervisory experience.
  • 3D modeling, mechanical design, and knowledge in plastic extrusion process.
  • Strong engineering skills and deep product knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a large range of people.
  • Leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of Lean concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Eight to ten years of experience in a production fabrication environment plus five years supervisory experience.
  • Automation experience including MIG welding.
