About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Battery Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Discovery Village at the West End – IL. As a key member of our design and release teams, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing and battery assembly plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-voltage battery testing and analysis to ensure compliance with End of Line (EOL) tests.
  • Collaborate with BMS SW and HW leads, Pack Integration and Module DRE, software engineers, chief engineers, and build coordinators to resolve system-level battery issues.
  • Analyze EOL data using Vector CAN tools, INCA, or plant tester diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
  • Support root cause problem-solving activities and manage module voltage variation correction to optimize pack assembly.
  • Perform flashing of BPCM/CSC and ensure proper pairing.
  • Aid in change control and establishment of clean points.
  • Document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Support pilot vehicle triage and systems-level troubleshooting of battery packs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Advanced English and Spanish language skills, with a preference for B2 or above.
  • Strong systems engineering knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data acquisition and diagnostic tools, including INCA and Vector tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency in application engineering principles and high attention to detail.
  • Legally eligible to work in Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering degree with 2-3 years of automotive industry experience.
  • High Voltage Battery or High Voltage powertrain experience.
  • Experience with electronic system-level troubleshooting and embedded controls.
  • Understanding of diagnostics fundamentals.
  • Extensive hands-on use of INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other electrical root cause tools.
  • Hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and attend on-site as required.
