About the Role

The Celanese International Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Financial Inventory Management Specialist to join their team in this exciting role.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting the largest US-based legal entity of the company, with a focus on inventory management, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in inventory management and general ledger accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory related journal entries, financial flux, key judgments, internal controls, and management reporting for the U.S.-based EM production facilities.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for review by Team Lead.
  • Cultivate productive relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by senior leadership.
  • Improve process and functional performance through innovative approaches to challenges.
  • Identify, solve, and/or escalate accounting issues to Team Lead, where applicable.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA or equivalent certification, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting or private accounting experience.
  • Inventory accounting experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills.
  • Manufacturing experience, strongly preferred.
  • General ledger accounting experience, strongly preferred.

  • Desire and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Healthy skepticism and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of finance and accounting operations & internal accounting controls.
  • SAP experience, a plus.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions.
