Visionary Leadership in Digital Product Development


Baxter is on a journey to revolutionize kidney care and other vital organ support. As a Product Owner, you will be part of a community of innovators who are shaping the future of digital healthcare.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Define and support the development of valuable, feasible, viable, and usable digital products that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with customers, Product Managers, and IT stakeholders to understand and communicate their needs.
  • Work closely with Business Relationship Managers and SMEs to define how technology can enable business processes and drive business value.
  • Set plans and goals for your product and team, and communicate effectively to meet established outcomes.
  • Plan the implementation of products to maximize their value.
  • Develop prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to visualize and describe product features.
  • Identify potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments with support from IT architecture resources.
  • Define features and prioritize them with the Product Manager to ensure a constant flow of value creation.
  • Deliver features as prioritized by the Product Manager, advising on value versus effort and fit to the roadmap.
  • Play a lead role in process governance to harmonize processes and system solutions.
  • Innovate through research and prototyping, and drive the development and adoption of next-generation technologies and business practices.
  • Work with technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers.
  • Integrate upcoming enabler work into the backlog with the Product Manager.
  • Agree on accepted story completion with your team.
  • Leverage survey results, user interviews, and data/analytics to continuously improve and scale products.
  • Be a change champion for new ways of working.
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives.
  • Report progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.
  • Support internal change management teams and external marketing teams to drive adoption and deliver products to market.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of experience in digital/technical product ownership.
  • Prior experience with commercial products such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting, and pricing.
  • Established commercial business acumen.
  • Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles.
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture.
  • Understanding of the SAFe approach is a plus.
  • Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery.
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability and maturity to manage senior-level stakeholders globally.
  • Experience in working in regulated environments.
  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage is strongly preferred.
