Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to fill the role of eHW CAD Librarian. The eHW CAD Librarian will be responsible for creating component models specifically for automotive electronic applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop component footprint geometries and electrical symbols, primarily utilizing Mentor Graphics tools.
  • Interpret and analyze component package drawings (ASME Y14.5, etc.).
  • Collaborate with requesting Electrical Engineers, fellow librarians, the Manufacturing Technology Team, and program management on a global scale.
  • Review and validate CAD geometries produced by other ECAD librarians.
  • Oversee component data within the library database, accessible globally.
  • Adhere to all approved BorgWarner ECAD processes to ensure the integrity of library data.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma is required; an Associate's Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical or mechanical engineering, is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Mentor Graphics xPedition or similar tools is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Mentor Graphics EDM Librarian Cockpit or similar tools is required.
  • 2+ years of experience with mechanical CAD tools (NX, Autodesk tools) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Valor DRC.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
