Responsibilities:
- Pre-Visit Preparation: Review patient records prior to each visit to understand reasons for the visit, previous test results, and medical history.
- Patient Readiness Notification: Alert providers when patients are ready to be seen.
- Communication Facilitation: Interpret for providers and patients as needed, facilitating smooth communication.
- Documentation Accuracy: Accurately document medical visits and procedures in real-time, including proper diagnoses, clinical decision support, and medication management.
- Referrals and Follow-ups: Enter referrals and schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
- Checkout Process: Update visit status to 'check-out' after each encounter.
- Training and Development: Assist with training newly hired medical scribes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately and thoroughly document patient information, medical histories, and provider instructions.
- Judgment and Organization: Possess good judgment, organizational skills, initiative, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
- Multitasking and Stress Management: Ability to multitask and work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure: Understand the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure according to HIPAA standards.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as required to perform duties.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Education and Experience: MD degree from Mexico, basic knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
