Position:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will collaborate, mentor, and lead teams to enhance operational processes, manufacturing workflows, and implement advanced technologies to drive customer-centric enhancements across various locations. This role involves designing, facilitating, and deploying visual management techniques while ensuring accountability in daily management practices (SQDCI) within teams. The individual will spearhead the development and execution of the Columbus McKinnon Business System (CMBS). Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion Columbus McKinnon Strategic Deployment initiatives through engagement and leadership, performance monitoring, data-driven problem-solving, and sustainability efforts.
  • Lead the continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by ensuring compliance with the Columbus McKinnon Business System.
  • Oversee the implementation of SQDCI daily management and coach team members to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Take charge of all continuous improvement activities, including Daily Management, Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, VSM, TPM, SMED, RCCM, and footprint strategies.
  • Assess requirements for manufacturing technology and facility equipment upgrades, justifying and executing capital improvement projects.
  • Act as a co-champion for New Product Introduction within the plant.
  • Organize and promote training sessions related to continuous improvement tools, product quality, and reliability.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring, with a strong desire to develop skills in this area.
  • Proven background in change management with the capability to challenge organizational norms.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all functions.
  • Data-driven mindset with robust analytical skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify innovative solutions and frame logical conclusions.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse groups from shop floor teams to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in lean deployment and implementation.
