Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specifications Analyst to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for reviewing customer specifications, utilizing software tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze customer specifications to identify areas for improvement and propose alternative solutions that align with Emerson's manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and customers to resolve questions and comments related to procedures, quality assurance practices, and materials testing.
  • Select and implement manufacturing procedures for projects that require customer submittal, ensuring compliance with quality plans and customer-approved documentation.
  • Support project managers and impact partners in communication and negotiation of specification comments and exceptions for Engineering Purchasing Contractor (EPC) and End User customers.
  • Prepare quality plans, review bill of materials, and ensure proper documentation is applied correctly, reporting any coding anomalies for resolution.
  • Maintain current information on CSP order status and release items and documents to manufacturing using tools like Oracle, Jama, and EDOCS.
  • Research and review documentation to determine requirements for CSP, Large Special Contracts (LSC), and Nuclear replacement parts orders, including old Marshalltown special handling systems, North Stonington drawings, Coraopolis serials, Design Specifications, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • 5 years of quality, materials, or manufacturing experience in a similar industry, with a strong background in engineering and industrial processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, technical communication skills, and understanding of quality documents and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an office environment.
  • Seven plus years of knowledge of Fisher products, organizations, systems, and procedures, as well as knowledge of ASME/ANSI/ASTM code, welding, NDE, and/or manufacturing.
