The Senior Payroll Operations Analyst role is a key position within the Payroll Operations Team at Emerson. As a subject matter expert in payroll operations support, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the team achieves exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities:**

In this challenging role, you will serve as a liaison between Payroll Operations, HRIS Operations, and Business Unit Customers. You will interact with various stakeholders, including HR, employees, other departments, and external vendors to understand their requirements and needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Tracking resolution of issues and risks critical to production and processes to achieve customer service goals
  • Creating adjustments needed to correct balances, hours, earning, etc., all types of balance adjustments
  • Providing primary support to users and resolving questions in all areas of HCM specifically Payroll and employee self-service
  • Supporting employee transfers across Emerson businesses
  • Identifying and reporting unknown/unresolved errors that impact productivity and/or the employee experience
  • Performing regression testing for recurring patches/updates to the HCM and Payroll system functionality based on assigned test scripts
  • Providing input to assist with the development of in-house training, as needed
  • Ensuring accurate and timely payroll payments to employees on the US payrolls, which includes multiple states, multiple pay frequencies, and multiple legal entities

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resources, Payroll, Business, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of related work experience, preferably in a multi-division, multi-state environment
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ten-key by touch
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with multi-disciplines from the clerical level to senior management
  • Ability to understand tax laws and set up to ensure proper taxation on paychecks
  • Ability to show promptness and urgency in recognizing priority of tasks
  • Ability and willingness to accept change
  • Ability to function effectively in a rapid-paced environment
  • Must be able to think logically and creatively to resolve problems and prevent them from reoccurring
  • Must be detail-oriented and conscious of data confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to understand processes without every detail needing to be defined
  • Must be able to multitask

**Compensation and Benefits:**

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
