About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Harness Designer to join our team at Leoni AG. As a key member of our electrical design team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing wiring systems for technology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Develops wiring systems for technology projects, including advanced, product, and serial development.
  2. Analysis and Updates: Analyzes and updates system and domain requirements, architecture, and design to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Design Reviews: Performs and supports design reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  4. Validation and Testing: Defines validation plans and evaluates test results to ensure product quality.
  5. Bill of Materials: Creates Bill of Materials (BOM) for wiring systems.
  6. Knowledge Management: Maintains high knowledge about wiring harnesses and related production processes.
  7. Tool Utilization: Uses and performs relevant methods and tools, such as FME and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
  8. Product Change Requests: Evaluates product change requests and provides solutions.
  9. Sample Build-up: Leads and supports sample build-up and defines technical requirements for products.
  10. Design2Cost and Design2Manufacture: Performs product D2X (Design2Cost, Design2Manufacture).
  11. VAVE Support: Supports VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering).
  12. Resident Engineer: Acts as resident engineer if required.
  13. Customer Pre-RFQ Concept Projects: Performs/supports customer pre-RFQ concept projects.
  14. Technical Feasibility Study: Performs technical feasibility study and develops technical concept for change requests.
  15. Design Release Engineering: Performs design release engineering.
  16. Customer Requirements: Checks and evaluates customer requirements and specifications.
  17. Customer Know-how: Provides customer-specific know-how.
  18. Technical Presentations: Supports technical presentations to customers.
  19. Technical Support: Provides technical support for CSO and COO areas and within CTO area.
  20. Customer Sample Verification: Integrates results of customer sample verification (previous build phase, if applicable).
  21. Communication: Communicates with customer engineering department on a regular basis and with supplier engineering department.
Requirements
  • Education: Industrial, Mechanics, Mechatronics engineering or similar degree.
  • Experience: 3 years of work experience.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English language proficiency (80%).
  • Teamwork: Ability to work result-oriented in a team environment.
