Job Summary
The Head of Product Center at HELLA is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving innovation and excellence in product development and operations. As a key member of the senior management team, you will lead a diverse team of engineers and professionals to deliver high-quality products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of engineers and professionals to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive resource and competence plan to ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise to execute projects effectively.
- Closely collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent and to identify areas for skill development and training initiatives to enhance team capabilities and stay ahead of technological advancements.
- Plan and manage cost centers, financials, hourly rates, capital expenditures, and human resources to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Establish and maintain close connections with counterparts and stakeholders in the USA and Europe to facilitate seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a key liaison between the Mexico Product Center and other global teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive the implementation of efficient development processes and methodologies to streamline project execution and improve time-to-market.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for process optimization and implementing best practices while ensuring meeting quality standards and other product requirements.
- Work closely with finance and project management teams to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and resource allocation to maximize efficiency without compromising quality or innovation.
Requirements
- Academic degree, PhD, or equivalent professional background in electrical and software engineering.
- Several years of management experience in the field of automotive technology and software engineering.
- Profound knowledge and background in automotive or technology/software industry.
- Experience in leading, inspiring, and transforming multifunctional international teams, including excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and the ability to adapt to a demanding environment.
