About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Manager to join our team at Medium. As a key member of our digital team, you will be responsible for building and driving an overarching digital roadmap that aligns with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and market gaps, define new product features or enhancements, and help manage development timelines.
  • Project Management: Guide project formation and execution from the idea stage to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitors and stay on top of trends to inform our digital strategy.
  • Webshop Optimization: Implement and test new features, functionalities, and improvements on our webshop platform to enhance user experience.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze webshop traffic, sales, and customer feedback using web analytics tools and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to ensure proper positioning and experience for new products, and handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure the webshop's compliance with legal, security, and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Training: Create support and training documents for internal and external users.
  • Backlog Management: Coordinate with the engineering department to groom backlog and deliver functional solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the team to stakeholders, partners, and internal teams to align resources and communicate progress.
Requirements
  • Desirable Skills: Previous work experience as a Product or Project Manager in a digital environment, knowledge of project management tools (e.g. Jira or Trello), and experience with agile methodologies like Scrum.
  • Key Qualities: Ability to prioritize, drive decisions, and deal with multiple projects and deadlines while keeping the team engaged and on task, proficient knowledge of Google Analytics, e-commerce tools, digital tools, best practices, and trends.
  • Business Acumen: Good technical understanding combined with strong business acumen, ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, and highly adaptable to changing environments.
