American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is a leading global insurance organization.
As a Claims Analyst II, you will play a critical role in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling complex claims cases.
About the RoleYour primary responsibility will be to collect and analyze data according to policy application and/or contract provisions.
You will determine whether to accept or deny a claim based on all documentation received.
Typical claims include policy cancellations due to non-payment and denial letters.
Your Contribution at AIGYou will handle a monthly average of 45 new claims and 135 outstanding claims according to the staffing model.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize acceptable investigation claims handling and settlement techniques to achieve cost-effective and timely closure results.
- Obtain, review, and analyze documentation, policy provisions, and other records as necessary.
- May require additional contact with other parties, such as employers, claimants, and third parties.
- Provide timely service throughout the life of the claim by meeting all service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate system data and documentation by collecting, recording, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Determine and timely set appropriate reserves within authority limits.
- Identify subrogation opportunities and fraud potential and make appropriate referrals.
- Manage key claims handling enquiries, coverage determination, quantum analysis, and legal liability assessment.
We're seeking an experienced adjuster with a strong background in handling lower-level complexity claims.
You should be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You should also be able to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
A basic knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation requirements is also necessary.
