At Te Connectivity Corporation, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team to create a safer, more sustainable, and connected world. Our Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services, gathering quotations, examining bids, and awarding contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability, and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure best quality at best value.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders, including creation, confirmation, and follow-up through payment, tracking milestones, and problem-solving with suppliers and internal functions.
- Be the first line of communication with suppliers and establish a regular communication cadence. Escalate suppliers that impose significant risk to the business to the next internal level.
- Ensure material/component availability through optimization and inventory management, including replenishment system strategies identification to share with Strategic Sourcing for negotiation and implementation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Buyer/Purchasing Analyst/Procurement.
- Material Planning and data analyst experience.
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continuous improvement attitude.
- Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
