Job Title: IT Contracts Management Specialist

Avery Dennison is seeking a highly skilled IT Contracts Management Specialist to join our global IT Sourcing and Vendor Management (ITSVM) Shared Services team.

Job Summary:

The IT Contracts Management Specialist will be responsible for managing assigned projects to meet business needs, balancing time between daily operation activities and strategic projects, and supporting operational improvements for ITSVM. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise IT operations, solid written and oral communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and IT vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, develop, and manage assigned projects to meet business needs
  • Balance time between daily operation activities and assigned strategic projects
  • Support operational improvements for ITSVM
  • Partner with Avery Dennison stakeholders globally and work cross-functionally and cross-regionally with operational teams and other key stakeholders globally
  • Manage assigned projects, engaging as the subject matter expert, providing consultation to key stakeholders, and identifying optimization/consolidation opportunities
  • Partner with and support IT Sourcing Managers and the Vendor Management Program
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, stakeholders, internal reviewers, and finance teams
  • Negotiate contracts, draft commercial terms, facilitate contract approvals, and create and/or approve order documentation (SOWs, POs, Requisitions, etc.)
  • Responsible for post-execution contract management, including maintaining the contract system of record, providing proactive renewal/obligation notifications, analyzing problem areas, and helping resolve disputes
  • Support the deployment of consistent vendor management processes, including leading annual executive reviews for assigned vendors, monitoring and reporting on vendor performance, and identifying opportunities for vendor innovation and relationship management improvement

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT sourcing and vendor management with personal accountability for strategic sourcing, drafting/negotiating IT contracts, and an understanding of related procurement practices, processes, and industry trends is required. 6+ years of work experience in related fields is preferred.
  • Responsible, takes initiative, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Understanding of enterprise IT operations
  • Solid written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills, with the ability to be an advisor to stakeholders, communicate effectively with vendors, and build strong, sustainable relationships
  • Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple vendors, projects, and a wide range of tasks
  • Has a sense of accountability and business partnership. Team player with ability to collaborate with others inside and outside of immediate team
  • Willingness to travel as required, an estimated 10%
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, or technology. MBA or JD degree preferred
