About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Layout Designer to join our DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) Design Methodology team at Micron. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating innovative layouts that support our commodity, mobile, and emerging R&D design, process, and product engineering customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and document layout in collaboration with design customers to ensure it meets design and process customer specifications.
  • Verify layout quality using DRC, LVS, and other verification tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interpret and apply design rules to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Develop and document layout tools and methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Identify issues and provide innovative solutions through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead sections of the layout design, coordinating with local and global teams to ensure quality for design and process customers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in custom layout with advanced CMOS process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong background in CMOS circuits/schematics and interface with circuit designer and CAD team.
  • Experience with Cadence tools including Virtuoso schematic editor Virtuoso layout L, XL & Verification tools like Mentor Calibre.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to work in a team environment.

The estimated salary for this role is around $145,000 - $185,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
