Job Title: Tax Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Monterrey, N.L.

Reports to: Finance Manager

Objective:

  • Provide guidance and support to collaborators to become tax business partners of business units.
  • Ensure domestic and global tax reporting, including federal, local, and withholding taxes.
  • Ensure transfer pricing compliance and business unit PL and MM and SM support and consulting.
  • Support research and planning, controversy, and audit defense.
  • Design metrics for continuous improvement and automate data extraction and review processes for compliance, risk management, and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with federal and local tax obligations.
  • Determine effective rates, deferred, and current taxes, and review monthly reports.
  • Integrate and present annual informative statements correctly.
  • Coordinate analysis and delivery of information between related parties for transfer pricing studies.
  • Ensure proper and quality accounting records for tax provisions and payments.
  • Coordinate HO reporting and timely attention to authorities' requirements.
  • Communicate the impact of tax legislation changes or provisions issued by the Insurance Regulator.
  • Provide business solutions to various questions received from operational, sales, claims, billing, and other areas.

Technical Skills:

  • Professional certification in Accountant.
  • Master's degree in Tax.
  • Fluent English.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in tax area.
  • 3-5 years leading teams.
