Your Role...
As an integral member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Center of Excellence, you will play a crucial role in supporting the reporting process for residuals ultimates across various entertainment sectors, including Television, Theatrical, and Home Entertainment. This position involves adhering to established accounting standards while managing the planning cycles, including Budgeting, Forecasting, and Monthly Updates.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Conduct monthly calculations and analyses of residuals ultimates for Television, Theatrical, and Home Entertainment products overseen by FP&A.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive residuals models to accurately compute ultimate residuals, ensuring timely calculations through a detailed review of guild agreements.
  • Prepare and update models to calculate residuals ultimates by title, utilizing advanced Excel techniques and SAP systems.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide residuals ultimates for inclusion in routine reporting cycles.
  • Perform analytical reviews and communicate findings to Senior Management, addressing any inquiries related to participations reporting.
  • Update the residuals control log monthly and validate rates from the corporate residuals system to ensure accuracy in calculations.
  • Review and confirm the setup and calculations of residuals ultimate models with corporate teams to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure necessary system adjustments are made to produce precise costing results, including maintenance of costing classes and attributes.
  • Work closely with corporate teams and business units to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
  • Establish and communicate procedures for departments providing data for residuals ultimates.
  • Analyze and adjust ultimates as necessary to ensure accurate costing functions.
  • Review by-title costing results to ensure financial reporting accuracy across all planning cycles.

Required Qualifications...

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience with SAP BW/BPS is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain attention to detail while understanding broader financial implications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or forecasting environment is required.
  • A background in public accounting or the entertainment industry is preferred.
  • A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
