About the Role...

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Global OPEX COE team. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring proactive and timely high-quality forecasting, reporting, and analysis of Opex costs. You will support business partners in decision-making and provide required reporting to senior business and FP&A stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Support the month-end close process from an FP&A perspective with variance analysis focusing on OPEX P&L.
  • Perform detailed reviews of actual spend with finance business partners and budget holders.
  • Summarize key findings to support discussions and decision-making to improve business unit/regional profitability.
  • Assist in the production of the monthly cost forecast submission and updating of related systems.
  • Support the annual budget process, including the design of templates, critical review of planning assumptions, and creation and analysis of business cases.
  • Provide insight into financial performance through accurate, timely, and relevant reporting.
  • Assist directly with business heads by helping them with daily finance needs.
  • Regularly interact with various business partners.
  • Interpret and clearly communicate results, reports, and analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and create new reporting related to cost management and governance meetings as appropriate.
  • Maintain and improve processes supporting financial planning and analysis activities.

Requirements...

  • 3+ years of working experience preferably with experience in FP&A department.
  • Deep understanding of forecasting and budgeting OPEX process.
  • General accounting knowledge (accruals, prepayments, costs recognition).
  • Knowledge of media industry dynamics and key metrics would be an asset.
  • CA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired.
  • Excellent analytical skills and key to details.
  • Strong MS Excel (power query, power pivot) & PowerPoint skills.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication.
  • Assured self-starter on relevant projects and work is a plus.
  • Pro-active and hands-on.
  • Strong IT affinity to drive required digital agenda in FP&A (EPM ie. Hyperion, SAP BPC, SAP Analysis, BI tools ie. Power BI).
  • Prior transition experience is a plus.
  • No travel expected.
  • Must possess a flexible work style and be able to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods in order to meet deadlines.
