We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Rooms Controller to join our team at JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. As a Rooms Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences by efficiently managing room assignments, check-ins, and check-outs.
Key Responsibilities- Assign rooms to guests based on their preferences and requests, whenever possible.
- Pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets.
- Organize and coordinate check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
- Review, track, and accommodate requests for room and check-out changes, communicating status to relevant staff.
- Confirm reservations and cancellations.
- Review out-of-order rooms daily and ensure rates match market codes, documenting exceptions.
- Verify and adjust billing for guests.
- File guest paperwork or documentation.
- Set up and process all guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Activate room keys and secure valid payment.
- Identify any over-commitments and perform duplicate reservation checks, blocking rooms as needed.
- Run daily reports and follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction.
- Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience.
- No license or certification required.
