Job Summary
As a Distribution Supervisor at Caterpillar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, processing, and shipment of parts to our dealers, distribution centers, and regional distribution centers. This is an entry-level position that provides guidance and support from senior-level Distribution Supervisors, Facility Managers, and other experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead a team of up to 30 hourly employees to ensure completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established processes.
• Ensure parts inventory is received, processed, and stored in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Assist office personnel with order processing by providing data on orders in process and resolving issues associated with orders.
• Respond to customer calls and provide necessary information and assistance to complete orders.
• Contribute to the development of an effective workforce by assigning, directing, and motivating employees to conform to defined and documented processes.
• Provide on-the-job training and contribute to improving productivity and quality by taking ownership of processes.
