About the Role

MX003 Marsh And Mclennan Servicios S.A. De Cv is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer Lead to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our cloud-based data ingestion and processing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive data ingestion and processing strategy that supports our New Data Platform.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring the development of reusable and scalable data pipelines and API integrations.
  • Collaborate with source system and application teams to integrate and establish data pipelines using Databricks, S3, and other AWS services.
  • Work closely with extended platform teams to improve data collection, quality, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics.
  • 3+ years of relevant Data Ingestion / ETL / ELT, Big Data, and Data Visualizations experience in mission-critical platforms.
  • Strong Python or Java development and SQL experience.
  • Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience working on AWS and related services, such as Glue, Athena, and S3.
  • Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing expectations and requirements (Agile).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong AWS experience.
  • Prior experience working in insurance services.
  • Experience in Databricks.
  • Experience in Informatica data quality and governance tools.
