Job Summary

The Cloud Data Engineer Lead will be responsible for leading a small team of data engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud computing, and data analytics, and will be able to provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive data ingestion and processing strategy that supports the company's data platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on data engineering best practices and cloud computing technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data pipelines and data models that meet business requirements.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data visualizations and reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain data quality and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Participate in the development of the company's data architecture and strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.

Requirements

  • Strong background in data engineering, cloud computing, and data analytics.
  • Experience with data ingestion and transformation tools such as Databricks, S3, and AWS Glue.
  • Experience with data modeling and data visualization tools such as Informatica and Tableau.
  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the insurance industry.
  • Experience with data governance and data quality tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS and Azure.
