Cloud Data Engineer Lead

Marsh McLennan is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer Lead to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our cloud-based data ingestion and processing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive data ingestion and processing strategy that supports our New Data Platform.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team to build scalable and reusable data pipelines and API integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and establish data pipelines using Databricks, S3, and other AWS services.
- Work closely with analytics and business teams to improve data models and increase data accessibility.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics.
- 3+ years of experience in data ingestion, ETL, ELT, Big Data, and data visualizations.
- Strong Python or Java development and SQL experience.
- Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience working on AWS and related services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong AWS experience.
- Prior experience working in insurance services.
- Experience in Databricks.
- Experience in Informatica data quality and governance tools.
