About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mold Design Specialist to join our team at Molex. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing molds and spare parts for our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop molds and spare parts using design software such as NX Siemens, Autocad, Inventor, Solid Works, and Cimatron.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain design documentation and records.
- Support the development of visual aids and design discrepancies in the tool room.
- Follow up on internal documentation, 3D, and 2D models.
- Support the development of ECTR (PLM) updates.
- Support RFQ with models.
- Follow up on design with the core team.
- Evaluate warranty design with purchasing.
- Analyze replacement tool requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in mold design and development.
- Strong English skills (conversational and written).
- GD&T knowledge.
- Mold Flow/Moldex simulation experience.
- Steel properties knowledge and CAD/CAM skills.
