About the Role:
As a key member of the Amazon Logistics Team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing the operation that focuses on the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs.
- Ensure a safe workplace, properly trained people, and address their needs so they can focus on their jobs.
- Help in daily operations: Receive, scan, lift and move shipments up to 25 kgs. Each.
- Route shipments within the AMZL coverage area.
- Support and assign job duties to process assistants.
- Track & monitor sorting operation and driver's dispatch.
Requirements:
- Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
- Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Job Requirements:
- Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operation, manage a team group to meet all building's goals.
- Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and DSPs.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
- Train and develop people.
- Implement Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Build bonds between all stakeholders and peers.
- Monitor and audit plans for DSPs including staffing, schedules, quality initiatives, and performance levels.
- Promote best practices and continuous process improvements across your team in areas like health and safety and productivity.
- Ensure there is on-the-road capacity for deliveries including during peak business times.
- Help to pilot new service types on-site, such as electric vehicles and cargo bikes.
- Carry out performance reviews with DSPs.
Qualifications:
- A completed Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
