This is a full-time position requiring on-site work at General Motors.

About the Role

We are seeking a Workplace Safety Representative Non-Manufacturing to provide technical and regulatory advice, mentoring, instructing, and coaching to site operations. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will assist Site Leadership in maintaining compliance with GM Workplace Safety and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage site safety performance and conformance to requirements.
  • Analyze safety data, communicate results and trends, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and educate site employees on safety cultural transformation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with local leadership to support safety cultural transformation.
  • Develop partnerships with key site personnel, including Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing Leadership, Human Resources, Industrial Hygiene, and Health Services.
Qualifications and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • English proficiency: Medium level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Compliance and administration of corporate and legal requirements (NOMs, OSHA, etc.).
  • Lead incident investigations and accident response.
  • Support risk prevention committees and change management processes.
  • Train site employees on Workplace Safety System and communicate prevention campaigns.

Estimated annual salary: $80,000 - $120,000 based on location and industry standards.
