Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Layout Design Engineer to join our DRAM and Emerging Memory Group (DEG). As a key member of our team, you will design and develop IP layouts used in DRAM chips, performing layout verification, quality check, and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop IP layouts used in DRAM chips
  • Perform layout verification, quality check, and documentation
  • D deliver block-level layouts on time with acceptable quality
  • Lead junior team-members in their execution of sub-block level layouts
  • Contribute to effective project-management
  • Plan and document layouts for global teams
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in layout designs in advanced CMOS process
  • Expertise in layout area and routing optimization, design rules, yield, and reliability issues
  • Good understanding of layout fundamentals, including Electro-migration, Latch-up, coupling, crosstalk, IR-drop, and parasitic analysis
  • Adequate knowledge of schematics, interface with circuit designer and CAD team
  • Experience with Cadence tools, including Virtuoso schematic editor, Virtuoso layout L, XL & Verification tools like Mentor Calibre
  • Leadership qualities and ability to do multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, goal-oriented, and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Micron Technology offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
