Key Responsibilities- Program Planning and Management
- Oversee and lead all administrative tasks within the program, ensuring compliance with policies and processes.
- Assist scientists and program staff in developing and improving program-specific processes.
- Coordinate with the Program Director and Associate Program Directors to ensure effective allocation of staff and resources.
- Provide oversight and coordination of project portfolio across the program.
- Provide administrative support to scientists and program staff in developing project proposals, including preparation of detailed project budgets and management of risks.
- Liaise with project leaders and relevant stakeholders to promote best practices in project management and ensure timely submission of high-quality reports and deliverables.
- Support scientists in implementing and managing projects, including staff recruitment, project closeout, and financial management.
- Oversee and facilitate internal communication with program staff and activities.
- Contribute to CIMMYT's visibility and reputation.
- Develop and maintain databases and systems for managing program-specific information.
- Oversee forecasting of personnel costs and monitoring of program spending against budget.
- Coordinate with the Program Director and Associate Program Directors to ensure effective financial management.
- Support the preparation of the annual program budget and budget realignment as needed.
- Master's degree in agriculture, business, or public administration or related field.
- Certificated PM and 10+ years' demonstrated experience with project or program management.
- 10+ years of experience in financial management, programming, and forecasting, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant administrative and/or operating protocols and policies.
- Advanced strategic thinking and ability to identify and develop new approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
