- Perform proactive quality checks during the nomination process, ensuring suppliers meet our quality requirements.
- Develop and manage nominated suppliers to meet our quality standards, ensuring timely ramp-up of production for assigned components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to define and agree on reliability indicators and critical quality characteristics, ensuring seamless integration into our production processes.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues related to the component's manufacturing process and quality, documenting all corrective actions taken throughout the project lifecycle.
- Guarantee parts availability for all production phases and key milestones of BMW project launches, ensuring our vehicles meet the highest quality standards.
- Successfully guide suppliers through the pre-production process, ensuring they meet our quality requirements.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to identify root causes of problems and implement sustainable solutions, ensuring continuous improvement in our quality management processes.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with project stakeholders and management, providing regular updates on quality performance and areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of combined professional experience in automotive manufacturing quality processes, component expertise, and relevant part technology & processes.
- Proven knowledge of quality and project management principles, with a focus on industrializing supplier production processes.
- Expertise in handling complex and numerous topics and issues efficiently, with excellent analytical and structured approach to problem-solving and task management.
- Fluent English skills, with ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly, potentially weekly, to support supplier relationships and quality management activities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
