At Tyson Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to lead our technology solutions team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering technology solutions that align with our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT project management principles and experience leading cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing project-related team activities, as well as providing administrative direction and support for daily operational activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing feedback to direct reports to raise awareness of strengths and opportunities.
  2. Communicating and clarifying roles and responsibilities expectations for each member of the team.
  3. Ensuring team members understand their career paths and partner with them to identify opportunities to grow and achieve career goals.
  4. Ensuring team members are fully allocated to priority efforts that align to organizational goals.
  5. Establishing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  6. Implementing activities to ensure team performance is meeting or exceeding stated KPIs from IT leadership.
  7. Administering annual performance reviews based on consistent candid feedback.
  8. Managing indirect resources assigned to project tasks including consulting resources.
  9. Designing and/or providing input into the training plans for team members.
  10. Application Ownership and Solution Delivery: Ensuring effective management of all aspects (planning, implementation, support, budget, change management, etc.) of business applications in related areas.
  11. Developing and executing any IT general controls processes aligned to application ownership.
  12. Business Engagement: Understanding to ensure alignment of IT projects in related areas.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Information Systems, or other related area.
  2. 6 plus years of experience.
  3. Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office tools. Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Experience communicating technical information to non-technical team members.

Special Skills:

  1. Proven leadership and project management experience preferred.
  2. Strong understanding of roles and responsibilities.
  3. Ability to drive initiatives through multiple levels of business.
  4. Must possess emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  5. Extensive problem-solving skills.
