Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team at F5. As a key member of our Security Operations Center, you will play a critical role in protecting our customers' digital assets from evolving security threats.

About the Job

In this dynamic and challenging position, you will work collaboratively with seasoned engineers to develop and implement effective security solutions, manage cloud-based security systems, and provide real-time protection, detection, mitigation, and resolution of security events.

Responsibilities
  • Administer Web Application Firewalls to ensure the security of our customers' applications.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and address emerging security threats.
  • Develop and maintain documented processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor and train colleagues on security best practices and new technologies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 0-2 years of experience administering Web Application Firewalls.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical details fluently in English.
  • A strong understanding of HTTP and web application security.
  • Familiarity with SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and other emerging Layer 4-7 attacks/vulnerabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information System Security or related field.
  • Background in Security Incident Response.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
