Role Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operations and personnel during their shift to ensure adherence to safety, quality, productivity, and waste management standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Managing team performance, conducting evaluations for Technicians and Operators, and creating individualized training plans.
- Promoting a culture of quality by ensuring compliance with work processes and procedures through production pack reviews and ongoing assessments.
- Facilitating necessary training and upskilling initiatives to enhance production operator versatility.
- Monitoring production efficiencies and targets, collaborating with Process Engineering and Maintenance teams for support.
- Implementing continuous improvement strategies and coordinating lean manufacturing activities.
- Supporting the management of new product introductions and change controls, liaising with engineering for trial scheduling and supervision.
- Participating in initial production runs, providing feedback and approval to the New Product Introduction department.
- Optimizing resources and planning in line with order requirements.
- Collaborating with HR for the recruitment of production staff.
- Coordinating with the Warehouse Supervisor on stock maintenance and control.
- Handling administrative tasks such as time and attendance management and holiday planning.
- Engaging in quality initiatives, troubleshooting, and participating in internal audit programs.
Qualifications
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of 70% is preferred.
- Experience with insertion machine processes.
- Background in Flexography or Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing ERP systems or similar projects is a plus.
- Proficient in PC systems and integrated software solutions.
- Familiarity with operational systems such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, PDCA, and lean manufacturing principles.
