As a key member of the Protocol Labs, Inc. team, the Marketing and Communications Lead, Mexico will be responsible for developing and executing tailored communication plans for Mexico, including messaging, audience targeting, media opportunities, and channel selection.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote the Worldcoin protocol and foster a strong brand presence in Mexico.
- Provide timely crisis communication responses and develop protocols to mitigate reputational risks, ensuring the company's image remains positive and intact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and build strong relationships with stakeholders, driving business growth and success.
- Lead media relations efforts, managing press queries, interviews, and story pitches to secure positive coverage and maintain a strong media presence.
- Manage external communication agencies in Mexico, monitoring their performance and ensuring they meet the company's communication objectives.
- Draft and supervise media monitoring activities, creating reports to evaluate communication effectiveness and inform future strategies.
- Oversee content creation for press releases, articles, and social media, ensuring consistency in messaging and aligning with the company's brand voice.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- 6+ years of experience in Communications, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
- Ability to operate with empathy in a hybrid, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with cross-functional colleagues in various time zones.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to improving communication effectiveness.
- Effective prioritization when it comes to project management, navigating time-sensitive projects while maintaining quality on other important workstreams.
- Experience in global tech/start-up companies, particularly in the crypto/blockchain/web 3 space, is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive results and create transformational impact, with a strong desire to thrive in an ever-changing environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
