Job Summary

The Import and Export Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of international trade operations, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and logistics management. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of international trade operations.
  • Monitor shipments and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to international trade.
  • Prepare and submit documents related to import and export operations, including customs forms and commercial invoices.
  • Request diplomatic franchises and ensure that imported goods are properly insured.
  • Process payment requests for customs brokers, storage facilities, freight forwarders, and other suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to evaluate and select freight forwarding, courier companies, and customs clearance brokers.
  • Monitor and follow up on all import and export transactions to ensure safe and timely transport of goods.
  • Prepare reports on import and export transactions to track and monitor data.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in international trade or customs operations.
  • Advanced level in MS Office, with special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate level of English (fluent written and conversational).
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
