Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at CommScope. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, tax, and treasury activities for our manufacturing site. Your primary focus will be on ensuring financial integrity and compliance with US GAAP and Mexico GAAP, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley regulation and local laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise tax, treasury, and accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, cash and bank, inventory, fixed assets, direct and indirect taxes.
  • Proactively handle inventory risks and work to improve the company's working capital.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems and processes in accordance with company procedures and policies.
  • Ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data according to US GAAP and Mexican GAAP and in compliance with local statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a sound system of internal controls for SOX 404 compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Work with BU Finance to develop annual operation budgets and manage the compilation of financial analysis on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis.
  • Represent local company externally on all finance-related matters and act as a liaison with government, internal and external auditors, and financial institutions.
  • Lead a team of finance employees, develop staffing plans, and set annual performance objectives.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability: 10-15 years of experience in Accounting.
  • Proficient in English language (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Validated Cost Accounting Experience.
  • Multidimensional leader/driver capable of working at the strategic and hands-on tactical level.
  • Extensive background dealing with sophisticated financial and operational issues.
  • Accounting/audit leadership roles.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Mentoring and developing technical and soft skills of direct reports.
  • Mastery of general SOX principles.
  • Proven ability to work within a global environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • PC proficiency including utilizing Microsoft Office software.
  • Oracle 11i, Oracle Cloud & SAP Controlling Module preferred.
