About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inventory Management: Maintain up-to-date records of transferred products, including cyclical inventory of items in the Tool Crib and Spare Parts Warehouse on a monthly basis.
  2. Cost Closing Policies: Develop and implement monthly cost closing policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  3. Inventory Variance Analysis: Calculate and analyze changes in inventory, auditing absorption and monitoring variations to ensure they are not caused by changes in standard costs, routes, or BOMs.
  4. Standard Review and Updates: Coordinate the review of standards, movements in routes, and BOMs each year to ensure accurate cost calculations for the upcoming year.
  5. Variance Reconciliation: Reconcile material, labor, and OH variance accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
  1. Inventory Valuation and Tracking: Experience with inventory valuation, variation tracking, cost determination, roll-up, and PPV calculation.
  2. Office Experience: Proven office experience with a strong understanding of financial operations.
  3. Oracle Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle software and its applications in financial operations.
