Job Overview

As a Senior Estimator at Wood, you will play a critical role in preparing and submitting accurate project estimates that ensure profitable project delivery. This involves developing project estimates to the required level of detail and accuracy, in accordance with contractual requirements and company policies.

You will be responsible for managing the contract or project estimating norms and preparing and filing project estimate documentation. Additionally, you may act as the focal point for several smaller, less complex project scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project management principles and techniques, including cost management, change control, planning, and risk analysis and management.
  2. Utilize estimating techniques and systems to prepare accurate project estimates, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
  3. Collaborate with senior members of the estimating team to manage contract or project estimating norms and prepare project estimate documentation.
  4. Act as a focal point for smaller, less complex project scopes, providing guidance and support as needed.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in estimating and project management.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  2. Minimum of six (6) years of progressive industry experience, with at least four (4) years in estimating positions.
  3. Strong analytical skills and ability to use estimating methods.
  4. Effective organization and planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to guide and mentor others.
