Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead the purchasing function.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Define and implement the optimal purchasing process, considering factors like delivery schedules, lot sizes, and material handling.

• Procure direct and indirect materials in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with Mexican and international laws and Eaton's policies.

• Lead the purchasing operations team, establishing procedures and metrics to monitor performance and adherence to daily standard work.

• Supervise the purchasing team, ensuring that policies and trade compliance procedures are followed.

• Monitor indicators to identify deviations or trends that require adjustments to the system.

• Participate in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to keep the system updated and aligned with planning and financial forecasts.

• Communicate closely with suppliers about demand forecasts and other relevant information.

• Support corporate requirements, such as VAT opinions and other supply base-related requirements.

• Supervise major MRO suppliers, conducting monthly reviews of cost-outs and inventory control.

• Lead inventory control for purchased components.

• Oversee the purchase process for direct and indirect materials.

• Manage the supplier on hold process, excesses and obsoletes, and slow materials movement control.

• Collaborate with the engineering, maintenance, and sourcing teams to obtain competitive sourcing options and item substitutes.

• Work with the division supply chain function to implement initiatives and develop suppliers to meet performance requirements.

• Coordinate with new product development on component issues.

• Collaborate with the quality supervisor on rejected material disposition and maintain regular supplier meetings and visits.

**Requirements:**

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or administration or equivalent.

• 4 years of experience in a similar position.

• Experience establishing the purchasing function in a new location or operation.

• Fluent in English at a business level.

**Skills:**

• Effective communication with other areas, including internal and external customers.

• Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, and ABC (PFEP) knowledge.

• Negotiation and leadership skills.

• Planning and evaluation of risks skills.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong knowledge of supply chain and purchasing problem-solving tools.

• Supply chain solutions for process improvements.

• Expert knowledge of commodity management, including vendor selection, purchasing, performance metrics, and continuous process improvement.
