As a key member of Garrett's financial leadership team, the Senior Finance Control Manager will be instrumental in overseeing and directing the financial operations across the USA and Mexico. This position encompasses all financial dimensions within North America and Mexico, which includes: controllership responsibilities for multiple legal entities, including GMI, with intricate accounting for debt and equity instruments; ISC Finance oversight for Mexicali and Torrance; and support for FP&A activities such as reporting and planning (AOP and STRAP). You will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Americas Finance Director and VP of North America, ensuring that financial and business goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

ISC Finance Leadership:

Act as a mentor and leader for ISC Finance operations in Mexicali and, when necessary, Torrance. Collaborate closely with the plant manager, VP of Manufacturing, and ISC Plant Finance Director to drive significant enhancements in controls throughout the plant and ensure the consistent application of Garrett's policies across all functions.

Controllership:

Guarantee precise US GAAP accounting and establish robust internal controls for all legal entities in the US and Mexico. Maintain close collaboration with tax and treasury teams regarding the accounting of complex transactions within holding entities. Work alongside the Swiss Company Controller to streamline intercompany relationships and processes, ensuring timely completion of all tax and statutory compliance obligations in both the US and Mexico.

Financial Planning & Analysis / Business Partnering:

Lead the reporting and planning processes (AOP and STRAP) for North America and Mexico. Provide insightful business partnering support to the Americas Finance Director and VP of North America, advising on the financial implications of decisions and holding all functions accountable for their performance.

Candidate Profile:

  • Professional finance qualification or degree in finance and accounting.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing finance, FP&A, and business partnering.
  • Proven experience as a finance leader at a plant site, with expertise in finance controllership and FP&A/business partnering.
  • Strong technical proficiency in SAP, HFM, AOP, STRAP planning, US GAAP principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and policies.
