About the Role

Ceva Logistics is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Air and Ocean Business Development Manager. This is a key role that will be responsible for driving growth and developing business opportunities in the Air and Ocean sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with regional and local business development teams to define sales targets and ensure effective communication of product strategy and growth targets.
  • Communicate product strategy and growth targets to all business development organization.
  • Collaborate with regional and local business development and management teams to ensure adequate business development coverage.
  • Deliver product training to specialized Air and Ocean business development teams.
  • Connect with all business development teams to ensure target accounts and opportunity qualification is aligned with product strategy and priorities.
  • Support key account managers for strategic approach, product expertise, and value proposition to key accounts.
  • Lead the business development of X border and multimodal products in collaboration with product teams and aligned with trade lane priorities.
  • Lead regional smart solution programs as an enabler of X country/region knowledge transfer.
  • Promote up-sell across regions and across other products, especially contract logistics.
  • Be the voice of the customer to operations and escalate critical resolution items that represent a risk to the business within Air and Ocean product.
  • Conduct regular presentations of Air and Ocean business to customers for prospecting and/or market and business updates.
  • Present regularly in front of regional and local business development Air and Ocean sales teams.
  • Drive Air and Ocean long-term roadmaps with customer and market inputs.

The following knowledge, experience, and skills are required to undertake this role at a fully competent level:

  • Essential:
    • Master's Degree in logistics, business, or equivalent
    • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Desirable:
    • 10 years' experience in senior management within Air and Ocean
    • Proven track record in leading the development and implementation of market business strategy
    • Experience of working across regions in different countries
    • Leading and developing teams in Air and Ocean
  • Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of the international logistics industry
    • Deep expertise in developing integrated supply chain and logistics solutions relevant in Air and Ocean
