About the Role:
Eaton Corporation's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Senior Cost and Inventory Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for analyzing cost structures, reviewing current routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure profitability and accurate absorption rates for plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operations and other functions (PLMs, staff, supervisor, etc.) through timely and accurate financial goal achievement and/or exceeding.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager (Plant Controller) to ensure financial accounting activities at the location comply with USGAP and MXGAP, local statutory requirements, and Eaton Corporate policies and practices.
- Coordinate cost accounting processes and cost maintenance to ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and standard costs.
- Review and analyze variance analysis to drive continuous improvement, including costing for new projects.
- Support the development and analysis of forecasts and actual performance and operational metrics.
- Prepare profit plans, rolling forecasts, and weekly performance reports for cost and inventory-related metrics and figures.
- Drive business to meet or exceed short-term and long-term goals, initiatives, and expectations.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate departmental budget systems for assigned departments.
- Develop and implement reports for management use in evaluating results against performance targets.
- Provide business partnership to all areas of the plant regarding functional expertise and cross-functional support.
- Act as an advisor and provide counsel to plant staff and personnel regarding financial operations and interpretation of financial information.
- Analyze low-cost margin and work with operations to identify production strategies.
- Partner with materials and quality teams to ensure controls are in place to follow on-hold levels as per internal policy and controls.
- Partner and support IC costing and MPV reviews and reports related to general cost for the business.
- Lead processes to identify and quantify cost-out opportunities and related data capture in a database.
- Ensure integrity of financial information related to cost-out projects.
- Support the implementation of improvements to monthly closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Continuously develop and improve financial modeling and tools.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to various Eaton systems.
- Coordinate annual physical inventory for finance activities ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and accuracy of physical count.
