Job Summary:
The Banking Control Analyst is a critical intermediate-level position within the Controller organization responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the bank's financial records. The primary objective of this role is to provide product control support for the business segment covered, including financial statement analysis, attribution, new activity analysis, data integrity, and general ledger reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and report daily financial statements for desks within the Investment Banking segments.
- Close out daily transactions, including income statement analysis, journal entry posting, and validation of ledger balances.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting and regulatory changes affecting financial reporting.
- Coordinate global financial reporting.
- Track and reconcile receivables and payables in the context of IB fee life cycle.
- Participate in business-specific projects and research.
- Assist in periodic balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve booking and control issues.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial services is preferred.
- General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial products.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or above, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
