Role Overview

The Financial Project Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects. This position involves providing management with timely updates and evaluations of project activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in financial planning and budget oversight, focusing on both direct and indirect costs, including labor, equipment, materials, and other expenditures.
  • Establish and adjust project cash flow forecasts, ensuring accurate monthly projections for all vendors, contractors, and design management entities.
  • Manage the inventory on construction sites, ensuring all materials and equipment are monitored and controlled effectively.
  • Oversee all billing invoices related to the project, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate and distribute cost control reports that compare actual performance against baseline and forecasted figures, including cash flow and financial S-Curve analysis.
  • Contribute to the Risk Management process through qualitative and quantitative assessments, developing risk response strategies and conducting simulations.
  • Analyze and report on the Cost Performance Index (CPI), ensuring project performance is monitored throughout all phases.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project performance metrics, including Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and productivity tracking.
  • Ensure the precision of key project metrics is maintained in a timely manner, adhering to corporate standards and project management best practices.
  • Support the project change management process to confirm that impacts remain within the approved budget.
  • Provide insights during the tendering process to ensure proposals align with established budgets.
  • Enhance project control dashboards for both Global and Local Teams to maximize benefits from internal projection systems.
  • Advise the Project Manager on the compilation, submission, and negotiation of contract variations at both client and supplier levels.
  • Manage all project-related documentation to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Control access to confidential documents and maintain updates in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Prepare systems and documentation for audits, fostering an audit-ready mindset within the team.
