As a Electronics Hardware Architect Lead for Electrification Solutions, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, documenting, and allocating hardware architectural designs for new and innovative power electronics products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Design Development
    • You will develop hardware block diagrams, including ASIL decomposition and cybersecurity control mechanism impacts
    • You will allocate hardware requirements, including hardware element FS impacts
  • Interface Definition
    • You will define interfaces for hardware design (PMD)
  • Documentation
    • You will document hardware blocks, including sub-blocks where applicable
    • You will create Product Definition Documents (PDD)
  • Design Verification
    • You will analyze hardware architectural design to ensure it is defined, consistent, and complies with HW requirements
    • You will perform CS vulnerabilities analysis
  • Communication
    • You will establish bidirectional traceability between Hardware Requirement and Hardware Blocks
    • You will baseline and communicate hardware architectural design (Product Mechanization Drawing and Product Definition Document)

Requirements

  • Education
    • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering field, preferably electrical engineering
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of engineering experience; however, preference will be given to those with 5+ years' experience
  • Skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Familiarity with general lab equipment, Scopes, Meters, Debuggers
    • Knowledge of safety analysis for automotive systems, ISO 26262 Functional Safety, DFMEA, FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA analysis
    • Knowledge of ASPICE, JIRA, AGILE

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tools and Technologies
    • ETAS/INCA, ATI/Vision, Lautherbach/Trace32
  • Industry Knowledge
    • Familiarity with electric/hybrid vehicles
    • Familiarity with electric drives and electric machine controls
    • Familiarity with inverter, dc/dc converter, and/or on-board charger topologies
