Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management.
    • Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
    • Forecast financial outcomes based on historical data and future trends.
    • Track budget variances and provide explanations and corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and adherence to internal controls.
    • Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Maintain and enforce internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Tax Planning and Compliance:
    • Prepare and review tax filings, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other regulatory filings.
    • Advise on tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Financial Systems Management:
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems (ERP, accounting software) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
    • Train finance team members on financial systems and processes to enhance departmental capabilities.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and reporting processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:
    • Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with department heads and operational managers to align financial goals with operational strategies.
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as currency risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.
    • Monitor and assess financial risk exposures and recommend risk management actions to senior management.
    • Implement risk management policies and procedures to protect the organization's financial interests.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects and Initiatives:
    • Participate in cross-functional teams for special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, financial system upgrades, or process improvements.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses for new business initiatives or investments.
    • Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analyses and presentations as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation or equivalent preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in the technology industry or a similar fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of hardware supply chain operations, including cost accounting, inventory management, and logistics financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing junior staff members.

Pay Range:

619,738 - 752,952 MXN per year (MX)
